The Need for Sacrificial Giving 
Jesus asks us to make our mark on this world and to serve the Lord by sharing His gifts with others. A pledge to the Stewardship for Saints and Scholars campaign is a wonderful way of doing so. 

Your pledge to the campaign will: 
 
· Strengthen our Catholic schools by enhancing teacher and administration compensation 
 
· Increase the financial aid capacity to serve more families by growing the financial aid endowment. 
 
· Attend to the special needs of some of our scholars in our Catholic schools. 
 
· Support each of the four diocesan high schools that each may attend to local needs. 
 
· Support our parishes to attend to their local needs for their school and faith formation programs.
 
· Support St. Mary Magdalen specific initiatives including renovating our parking lot and establishing a fund to help us with future capital improvements 
 
Funding each of these initiatives with the financial resources we have been blessed with will, in turn, multiply those blessings back to us and to God. The Diocese of Lansing is fortunate to have thousands of Catholic families who actively participate in the stewardship way of life. We have an obligation to make our diocese, and our world, better for those who follow us. The diocese will soon invite all to participate as missionary disciples and impact future generations.

How Can I Volunteer for the Stewardship for Saints and Scholars campaign?
The Stewardship for Saints and Scholars campaign invites every Catholic diocesan-wide to play a role in securing the future of our beloved faith. As a campaign volunteer, individuals/couples will assist St. Mary Magdalen in reaching our goals. Together, with other leaders at our parish, volunteers will serve as ambassadors on behalf of Bishop Boyea to fellow parishioners.
 
As a volunteer, you will:
 
· Only commit to three months of active campaigning.
 
· Attend two meetings during the campaign, which may involve travel to a neighboring parish.
 
· Personally follow-up with fellow parishioners to answer their questions, share your passion for the initiatives and assist them in filling out a pledge card to the campaign if requested.
 
· Receive comprehensive campaign volunteer training.
 
· Attend meetings to learn about the progress of the campaign and report on the status of your visits.
